My wife and I bought our house about a year ago. The property was a bit neglected before we moved in so we wanted to revamp the landscaping around our entire property. I can't say enough about the CHARACTER of the people who work for Ross and Jack's. The other day, my older parents were outside trimming their bushes on uneven ground and struggling. One of their employees was working across the street and offered to help when he was done with his current work. He came over and finished the other half that my parents hadn't done yet in 5 minutes - it took my parents over 30 on the side they did.

When my mom called to tell me the story, she was crying she was so overwhelmed with gratitude at his kindness and generosity. When I told her to call the company and tell them what their employee had done for them, it took her literally 30 tries because she kept crying so hard she had to hang up before leaving the message. I wish I could mention that man by name here, to give him the proper credit he deserves, but my parents never got his name.

I can only hope R&J share this review with him. Thank you, sir, truly. And thank you to R&J for hiring people like that. Not only was what your employee did an incredible act of kindness, but it was GREAT WORK. My mom said "the only bad part about it is that now the side we did ourselves looks like trash by comparison". He's now on her prayer list, by the way. From the beginning, Michael (plus the R & J team) was very responsiveness and offered great advice with design. He also kept in mind our budget and worked to use some plants that we already had. The team completed our front and backyard in TWO days and were very considerate throughout the process. Michael provided us helpful directions on how to best maintain the landscape and new sod. Also, if we had any questions, he was quick to respond with answers which we greatly appreciated! We would highly recommend Ross & Jack's!

I used Jack & Ross after recommendations from other people online. I'm glad we did, they revamped our front landscaping, buried a downspout and leveled out our lawn with all new sod. I feel that trust is important when choosing a contractor to perform work on your home or yard. I have had R&J do a couple of projects at my home and have grown comfortable with them. In the most recent project they added sod, pavers, and some landscaping to my back yard. They took their time, which meant a lot to me. Moving forward, we are going to replace portions of my concrete driveway. I will post pictures once that is completed. Ross and Jacks is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating.

Used them multiple times. Everything from filling in a pond to re-imagining our landscaping. They have incredible pride in their work and always go above and beyond. Curb appeal has never been better, and a super thorough attention to detail. Everything down to the smallest edging section is dialed in.

Outstanding - would give them more than 5 stars if possible. We moved to Elmhurst in 2022 and our backyard was a mess. No grass under a shade tree, water pooling in the corner of the yard after rain, small poorly maintained shrubs, trees and lawn. I contacted Ross and Jack's and met with Mike who developed a plan for the yard with new trees, shrubs and most importantly, a dry well to address the pooling water.

After some back and forth we finalized the plan - Mike was very responsive to my input and very easy to work with. We scheduled the work and they showed up on time and in 4 days had the job done. The difference is night and day. No more pooling water, beautiful lawn, beautiful shrubs and trees, nice flagstone walks and perfectly mulched beds. Our neighbor who has lived here for 20 years said this is the best our yard has ever looked. We couldn't be happier with the result and strongly recommend Ross and Jack's to anyone who needs landscape work done.

Ross and Jacks did an amazing job with my front garden. I had very rocky soil and roots from old evergreens that were taken out before I bought the house. There were a ton of weeds as well. Ross and Jacks came out and gave me a fair estimate within 24 hours of contacting them. They worked with me and my schedule and came out in an appropriate amount of time, given spring is the busy season.

They dug up all the old bad soil and replaced it with great garden soil and mulch. They rearranged my plants to make the garden more cohesive as well. I am very happy with how it turned out. On time, on budget, professional. I had a major soil erosion issue in my backyard allowing my soil around a very mature tree to wash away in heavy rains into my neighbor's yard behind my home. I also wanted to have a retaining wall in my front yard and some trees, plants and mulch to complete landscaping in my front yard. Downspout drains were also buried to resolve contributing factors to the soil erosion that I was experiencing.

The crew arrived on time and worked hard to complete the project. The end result, both front and back, not only met my expectations but exceeded them in every respect. The crew and Mike were very professional and respectful of my landscaping needs. I am elated with the final results.

Ross and Jack's is our "regular" landscaper, and I've always been happy with their work. But this time, I'm BLOWN AWAY! After having new concrete stairs put in we realized we had a grading issue. Mike came out and walked the area with us, making recommendations and, more importantly, listening to our concerns. I knew when they were done it would look good, but it's phenomonal.

Our curb appeal went from no appeal to the envy of the neighborhood. Throughout the project he checked in on the progress and we made tweaks as we went along. The guys who did the work were polite, efficient and clean up after themselves. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Incredible to work with. Michael had a well thought out design and was not pushy. He would give you his recommendations and work with what you wanted. Great service, great design, great installation. We had landscaping done (plants and grass) and they also replaced the front walkway. Quick install and cleaned everything up afterwards. They are the only people we will use. This is our second time working with Michael and his team and he never disappoints! He helped us transform our small 50 year old backyard and patchwork patio into an amazing paradise. Ross and Jack's is as professional as they come. Mike is quick to respond, extremely knowledgeable, timely, honest and a true landscape designer + much more! I had received a few quotes on landscaping and while they were a bit pricier than others, I 100% made the right decision in choosing them. My house needed some basic front and side of house landscaping - nothing too complicated.

When pricing came back, it was a bit more than my budget would allow so Mike worked with me on alternate ideas to help keep the design similar, but reduce costs to something that I felt comfortable with. On the day of installation, I ended up wanting to add a few more plants and Mike made a special trip back to his office to see what plants he had in stock that we could use.

He ended up bringing back not one, but four plants and giving me multiple options to choose from. They were all such great designs, it was hard to pick! Also, the team doing the installation (while Mike supervised) was fantastic. They were so efficient, removed a few weeds for us, cleaned up EVERYTHING and even mowed our lawn! I loved these guys so much, we can't wait to work with them again in the future. PLEASE make the right decision when it comes to landscaping and choose Ross & Jack's!

We loved working with Michael from Ross and Jack's. Every step of the process was excellent. The communication, design, and execution of the landscaping overhaul they did for us was perfect. We couldn't be happier.

I normally would do landscaping on my own, but I decided to try Ross and Jack's landscaping based on some positive reviews online. We just moved in to a new house that had been neglected for years and Ross and Jack's completely redid our yard and made a neglected landscape into something charming and welcoming. We are very happy with our yard now and receive plenty of compliments. The price was very fair and competitive and the salesmen, Mike, was knowledgable and created a design that fit our budget. I would recommend them to anyone with any budget.

Mike from Ross and Jacks Landscaping exceeded expectations with the quality of work I expected form a drainage system and a retaining wall. Even when the problem was not 100% alleviated Mike made sure to troubleshoot and go above and beyond till the problem was fixed! Always kept me up to date with the status of the projects and offered me his expert opinion when choices had to be made (he's always pretty much right, just listen to him).
