Mittra Productive Landscapes was started by Su Mittra in 2005. After running the original business for nine years Su rebranded the company as her interests turned away from traditional simple landscaping, to incorporating Permaculture Principles as a way to aid the environment. She is a Certified Permaculture Designer. Permaculture is a practical method of ecological design using natural patterns to create diverse, sustainable, low-input landscapes.

Su has a firm belief that we are stewards of the Earth, and through small steps we can increase the health of our local ecosystems. An important goal of this business is to treat every client as a friend. During a typical meeting with clients at their home Su discusses plans, ideas, and listens to what is most important for them to see in their yard.

Using her 15 years of experience she creates individual project estimates with an overview of different options and price-points, and follows through by working on every job-site from start to completion.
Services
All warranties will be void if the client refuses to maintain the plant(s), lawn, groundcover, ivy, hardscape(s), drainage system(s), or home repair(s), or any other material(s) installed, in the manner that Su Mittra has stated, subjects it to usage outside of its intended purpose, or is damaged by any third party or force of nature.
Su will determine if and when to replace a plant, and may wait until the following growing season before deciding on replacement or installation time.
Warranty replacements will be of similar original size and price.
We design, install, and maintain ecologically productive landscapes that provide visual appeal, as well as creating inviting habitats for local wildlife.
We begin by listening to you to finding out the needs for a space.
Then we move forward in doing analysis of the property before deciding on course of action to create a landscape design.
Making the most of a small space can be challenging, but with proper planning any small or urban yard can be made to feel like a relaxing and calming space.

Small yard landscaping.
Making the most of a small space can be challenging, but with proper planning any small or urban yard can be made to feel like a relaxing and calming space.
Creating a small personal farm is also possible planting a variety of veggies, herbs, and fruits.
Replacing an existing lawn with various groundcover, and low growing herb can make for an attractive alternative to plain, non-productive lawns.
These types of plantings can also use less water in the long-term, making it a wise choice for long term summer drought conditions.
Cutting back shrubs and small trees is necessary in any type of landscape to ensure the sustained health of the plant material.
Before any pruning, there is an analysis of what the shrub or tree requires, then finding the best way of accomplishing that without diminishing the visual appeal.
Routine and remedial pruning helps a landscape stay healthy for many years.
A complex landscape can be difficult to maintain for a homeowner on their own.
Our maintenance services can take care of all the dirty work, to ensure your landscape is routinely taken care of for your enjoyment.
