Timberline Gardens Landscape Inc. was established in Denver in 1968 in the Arvada area by Terry Beyer, Michelle's father-in-law. Michelle began designing landscapes for the company in 1988 on a part-time basis as she was a Jefferson County sheriff's deputy.
Michelle and her husband purchased the company from Terry Beyer at this time. In 1998, Michelle left the sheriffs department and took over the business full time. In 2000, TL was separated from TL Gardens Nursery, as Terry Beyer retired and sold that part of business to new ownership.
