If only it was as simple as buying a car or shopping for a refrigerator. Where are the online tools to compare aesthetics, design skills and the ability to create landscapes that capture what you're looking for, not to mention install everything efficiently and expertly? Founded in 1979, GLDesigns has designed and installed projects for clients from Hatboro to The Hamptons.

We aim to check everything off the above list. For us there is nothing more rewarding than visiting a landscape years later, to see that it has stood the test of time. The background of our team comes from many disciplines: fine art, design, photography, and landscape architecture, giving us a distinct way of looking at things. We also employ master craftsmen for our installations: carpenters, masons, master woodworkers, electricians, and of course landscapers.

We want to work with you to bring out the best your property has to offer - for you, your family and friends. Co-owner and principal designer of GLDesigns, and a graduate of Temple University's Tyler School of Art, Andrea Steinberg draws from her background in art and design, as well as her extensive knowledge of horticulture, to create unique and inspired landscapes.
Services
We meet with you at your home, walk the property and discuss what you like (and what you don't), as well as your goals.
We absorb your style from various cues, like your interior decorating, and ask a lot of questions.
From this meeting, we get a really good idea of what you're trying to accomplish.
Once we agree on the scope of the project, we get to work.
We accurately measure your site, taking detailed inventory - even including such elements as water spiggots and electrical outlets (this stuff is actually important) - and take plenty of photos.
Becky and I want you to know how beautiful our pond and backyard are and have been all summer.
When we hired GL Designs to landscape my pond (one of my most prized possessions) and our backyard last year, I was concerned about the money we were committing, and I was worried the "flavor" of our very "wild" backyard landscape would be lost in our trying to tame it.
You managed to maintain the real flavor of our woodsy environment while taming it and providing a wonderful array of plants that provided continuous blooms of one kind or another.
