In 1955 Shelly Dubofsky loaded a manual reel blade push mower and some hand trimmers into the trunk of his father's Oldsmobile '88 and went off to start mowing lawns in the neighborhoods of Chicago.
Realizing he could make some money and put himself through school he worked countless days and hours before and after school and on the weekends and so began the start of Shelly's Landscape contractors, Inc.
Over many years our industry has changed in many ways.
