GreenThumb
Green Thumb Design is the premier landscape designer in the Huntsville and Madison, Alabama area. Owner and designer, Denise Woodring, uses a professional landscape design program that turns a 2D flat design into 3D rendered screenshots and videos. This allows clients to actually see what the 'finished' product will look like. Landscape design is a complex form of art.

It is about organizing and shaping outdoor spaces and covers many different elements. It includes surveying the site and understanding the soil and the climate, creating outdoor livings spaces with patios, arbors and pergolas, designing walkways and planting beds, selecting plants and landscape lighting. Whether you are starting from scratch or revamping a neglected, overgrown or outdated site, Denise will create a landscape design that transforms your outdoors from 'boring' to beautiful.

Denise is an avid gardener who has turned her love and passion for gardening and business background into a successful landscape design business.
Services
Denise is an avid gardener and student of gardening for over 20 years.
She started Green Thumb Design LLC in 2010 to put her love of gardening and talent to help other people have 'beautiful outdoors by design'.
Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas and a Masters in Business Administration, Friends University, Wichita, Kansas.
Denise is a Graduate of the Virginia Master Gardener program, and has completed the American Rainwater Catchment System Association (ARCSA) Level 200 Training.
Denise creates landscape designs that are unique as each of her clients.
One of the most important parts of her job is listening to her clients and understanding what they want in their yard.
What plants do they like or dislike, what colors do they prefer, how are they going to use the space, and how much do they want to spend?
Plants are an important feature in a landscape design, but other features in a design can include patios, walkways and walls (what we commonly refer to as hardscapes), firepits and fireplaces, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and water features.
