'Buck' Jones, on their farm in Wrens, Georgia. Buck attended Auburn University in pursuit of a degree in Veterinary medicine, but a visit to a family member's nursery inspired the farmer within.
After graduation, Buck and the former Mary Jane Ennis, now Mrs. Buck Jones, moved back to Wrens. He was to spend the coming years learning the "green industry" by working for various nurseries and nursery suppliers until 1972, when he started Arthur A. Jones & Associates, Inc. from his Snellville, Georgia home.
