Our company was founded in 1981 by Larry Ring. We are a full service landscape contractor. We specialize in a broad range of landscaping techniques and work hand-in-hand with a team of designers, horticultural and hardscape experts to bring you a well-rounded approach. We follow the philosophy that each landscape is unique and provide each client with a personalized plan to fit thier specific needs.
Cedar Ridge has won various awards at the Maryland Flower Show. Our patio designs have been choosen for publication in The Creative Patio books by the Schiffer Publishing Ltd. Our crews work all around North Central Maryland. They leave our shop in Forest Hill every morning about 8:00am and return about 5:00 pm. Our crews consist of 2-4 men. Our two foreman have 35 years experience with Cedar Ridge and live with their families in Harford County.
Our job sites will always have at least one Engish speaking crew member. Our labor force consists of American and "LEGAL" h2-b goverment visa workers.

The Benfield's wanted to create a front landscape that was inviting, colorfully, proportionate to the home and most important low maintenance.
The walkway is 5' wide with a large entrance and enlarged landing at the front door to allow for plenty of space for greeting or saying farewell to family and friends.
We used Red Tipple gravel set on a weed barrier mat as mulch and in ground irrigation to lower maintenance.
The rear deck was designed to create a private area for comfortable everyday use in all weather.

Check the soil under the mulch at the base of some plants, if the soil is dry you need to water.
Too many people only "sprinkle" their plants for a few minutes, sometimes twice a day.
This is not enough.
Polymeric sand loss can be expected over time in high traffic areas.
Sand does not have to be flush at the top of pavers.
Manufactures recommended 1/8 below the surface.
Any installation of Polymeric sand should be done by a professional, incorrect installation can ruin a patio.
Cleaning pavers and stone products with a powerwasher is fine.
