Since those humble beginnings, the company has grown from a one-man landscape design and maintenance operation to a full service landscape company which includes a 5 acre mulch and stone yard in Scott County, Kentucky. We provide a broad spectrum of services and the ability to design, install and maintain your project from start to finish.

Debra Kumar moved to Kentucky from West Virginia in 1981.
She joined Landscape Alternatives, Inc. in 2013.
Trained as a Master Gardener, she was originally hired as a garden center employee to maintain and sell plants, advise customers, and market other merchandise in our gift shop.
I also love art of all kinds and enjoy painting water color and acrylic when I get the chance.

Martin Thomas, of Landscape Alternatives, Inc., took my boring back yard and made it into the European garden I saw in my mind.
Now I have interesting changes of levels in this garden and beautiful boxwoods, plus a very useful irrigation system.
Lovely trees filter the light and Arborvitae were added to create green walls.
Three wooden pergola - type structures were built to encourage my climbing plants.
A stone path leads past raised flower beds to complete my vision.
