Melanie Moossaian, a graduate of Harvard University, GSD and USC School of Architecture, founded BlueGreen Landscape Design, Inc. Her training in both landscape and architecture reflect her passion to seamlessly weave interior and exterior spaces within every project. This unique perspective drives her to push the envelope of design to provide creative and cohesive design solutions with an eye for aesthetics.

She continues to be an active part of the design community as a designer and an educator. She has taught design studio classes at USC, UCLA, and Woodbury University in the fields of landscape, sustainability and architecture. Melanie has many years of experience working on residential, commercial and institutional projects throughout the city, designing and creating many award winning projects.

She is dedicated to making every project a success, with a true collaboration between designer and the client. Through a collaborative and disciplined approach we effectively incorporate the needs of the user in the landscape design, whether it's bold and beautiful, elegant and serene, or whimsical and imaginative.
Services
At BlueGreen, the design process begins by understanding the specific conditions of each site and by analyzing the needs of each client.
We customize a presentation that can include inspirational images, as well as hand rendered sketches, AutoCAD drawings, and other digital media to create plans, sections, elevations, and 3D renderings that give each client an accurate understanding of the final design.
Our hands on approach starts from the initial consultation to create a "wish list" all the way to the completion of the project through site observations to ensure quality of craftsmanship.
Series of red Flax, Phormium tenax, along a terraced garden surround an outdoor living space to define and frame a seating area and provide a cozy environment for the family to gather.
These low maintenance and vibrant plants are versatile and diverse with many colors and sizes to choose from.
Series of tree trunks of different heights provide a contemporary pathway linking interior and exterior spaces together in a zen garden.
The tree trunks are reclaimed and reused from the same site to add another level of sustainability to a xeroscape garden.
