When clients hire Designing Eden, you're not just a number. You become one of the family. Each landscape becomes a part of us because we put a little piece of our heart and soul into each creation we produce. As you'll see from our portfolio, we've been creating landscapes all over Fairfield and Litchfield County Connecticut for quite a while. WE ARE NOT a jack of all trades type of company.

We provide landscape design, landscape installation and garden maintenance services and I'd say we're pretty good at it. Period houses deserve something more than an ordinary landscape found throughout suburbia.
Services
At Designing Eden, our landscape designers feel that the design phase is the most important part of any project.
The success or failure of any built environment will directly relate to the landscape design.
That is why you, the homeowner, need to do your homework.
Designing Eden performs Landscape Design all over the Fairfield County and Litchfield County with a majority of our clients in and around Ridgefield, Weston, Washington, Roxbury, Bridgewater, Litchfield and Kent.
The design and installation of a landscape is a big undertaking for our landscape clients.
You do not need a license or degree to call yourself a landscape designer.
Landscape designers come from all different backgrounds.
Some are college educated; some are nationally certified through the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, while others have no formal training at all.
This raises a question if you are a consumer.
Who do you hire?
Someone looking to hire a landscape designer should find one that you have good rapport with.
Read the information on their website and look at their portfolio.
In over 30 years, I've never met a potential client who asked for a high maintenance garden.
Not once!
A no maintenance landscape doesn't exist.
Sure there are gardens that will require less maintenance than others but when I mention plastic plants, people seem to cringe.
The fact of the matter is, even a garden with plastic plants needs ongoing maintenance.
I know because I was asked to maintain one once!
The gardens which you see and want in magazines require maintenance.
I can tell you from past experience that the long term success of a newly installed landscape will greatly depend on a commitment to the ongoing maintenance program.
Talk to any ski shop and they will tell you ski sales significantly increase after the first snow.
The same can be said about the landscape design and installation business.
Once the first warm day occurs each spring our phone doesn't stop ringing.
Winter is not only the perfect time to start planning next year's projects, we encourage it.
Why? Winter is a natural down time for most landscape companies.
The great advantage about creating designs is that it can be done any time of the year.
Plan now instead of in the spring.
Whether you've hired another design firm and already have plans or you're interested in a landscape design and construction, you've come to the right place.
The Bid/Build process starts with an estimate, the Design/Build process is below.
The first step in the landscape design and installation process is the initial consultation.
The consultation can take place in our design studio or on site.
We will discuss your needs, likes, dislikes, and the budget.
To be prepared, clip photographs of landscape designs and plants from magazines or create an ideabook from Pinterest or Houzz.
