Erin Lau Design provides landscape design and project management for residential, commercial & multi-family landscapes in the South Seattle area, including the Rainier Valley, West Seattle, Renton, Burien, Normandy Park and Mercer Island. Bringing together her background in architecture, landscape architecture, illustration and gardening, Erin approaches each design with a unique eye for detail and deep understanding of the design process.
She believes that the garden, however large or small, should be designed as a whole system, in which every part connects with one another.
She has studied Permaculture and is a firm advocate of urban farming and edible gardens.

We are now offering Online Landscape Design Consultations to help get clients started in the process - especially helpful for DIY projects.
This consult will be similar to the 2hr Onsite Consult we used to offer, except that we will not be providing any design drawings.
Answer any questions related to: high-level design & layout, phasing, plant ID, plant choices and placement, hardscape options, project costs, feasibility of ideas, etc.

A typical client will have completed a Full Design for their landscape, and then hire Erin Lau Design to manage the construction by a vetted contractor, or a contractor selected by the client.
There are so many ways a design can be interpreted on paper, especially by a contractor and crew members who weren't necessarily part of the design process.
The Project Manager can serve as the bridge between the client and the contractor.
A typical client will have completed a Full Design for their landscape, and then hire Erin Lau Design to manage the construction by a vetted contractor, or a contractor selected by the client.
