Downey Mildew is a host-specific pathogen that has attacked impatiens and boxwoods in the US and in Europe as of Spring 2012.
Many growers are not growing impatiens and it maybe a few years until you see them in the marketplace.
Our recommendation is do not plant impatiens this year.
