Fred Holasek & Son Greenhouse was started over 40 years ago by Fred W. Holasek. After working for another greenhouse in high school, Fred started his own business on the corner of County Road 6 and Old Highway 12 near Long Lake, MN. The property in Lester Prairie was purchased in 1978. Our DBA name, Holasek Flower Power, was adopted in 2011 for our retail division.
We are a family-owned business which strives to provide the friendliest service and highest quality product possible. Wholesale and retail sales have always been a part of our business. Our trucks deliver to professional gardeners and garden centers locally owned within approximately an hour's drive from Lester Prairie. Our greenhouses provide over 70,000 square feet of growing space for our crops, and our retail garden center is open year-round.
Main crops grown are: High quality annual, vegetable, and herb plants, including many unusual and heirloom varieties, for all seasons; A full line of perennials and shrubs; 3 fairy garden plants and succulents; and Poinsettias.
