The Lazy Gardener
Our garden designs grow through talking to each client, finding out what you have in your imagination, and how your property is used. When designing landscapes, we take into account the style and time period of the building and the neighborhood. Plants that don't need a lot of fussing will keep your property looking lovely throughout the year without a full time gardener.

After a decades long career in advertising design, Catherine became interested in organic gardening after moving to Larchmont in 1993.
She joined the Sheldrake Environmental Center and worked in the Mamaroneck School District as a naturalist educator, teaching children and adults about the natural world and our obligations towards the environment.
After three years, Catherine took the helm of the Sheldrake naturalist educator program, recruiting and training new naturalists.
Catherine capitalized on her growing expertise in 2005 with the founding of The Lazy Gardener.
Whether your property is residential or commercial, we'll design your outdoor space to boost curb appeal, transform your backyard into an oasis for entertaining, and create an easy care garden that will only grow more beautiful over the years.
