Alex Pelt was born and raised in Caddo Mills.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with an emphasis in Ornamental Horticulture in 2014 from Texas A&M Commerce.
He studied turfgrass while attending college and interned at two golf courses as a maintenance technician.
Upon graduating college he worked as an assistant superintendent for an erosion control construction company for two years where he oversaw day to day operations and the grassing and irrigation operations.
