Stoney Acres Nursery
Stoney Acres is a family owned and operated business serving multiple counties in Pennsylvania. We offer you many different services, from design & installation to maintenance for your landscaping needs. Our values are simple, and we stand firm behind our work. Stoney Acres' goal is to ensure total client satisfaction and the highest quality possible.

We are the only local company that offers a 3-year guarantee on each and every job. At the end of the day, we love what we do, and it shows in the quality of every project. We remain small enough to care about you, but large enough to handle any size project you might throw our way. We started in 1989 with just a single truck and have now grown into a multi-crew company.

In 1993, we relocated our business from Red Rock to our current location, 628 Green Acres Rd in Benton, PA. In 2000, we started growing shade trees at our farm in Red Rock. Now we offer a full array of services for your landscaping needs. The hotter the summers, the more shade the plant needs.

We are so grateful for opportunities like these to share with others our expertise when it comes to landscaping and gardening.
A beautiful yard is arguably the goal of any homeowner, whether you live on a sprawling property or a suburban cul-de-sac.
Fall is the perfect time, when the temperatures are beginning to drop, to begin planting your favorite spring bulbs.
During the fall season, the cold temperature helps activate root growth and flower formation, making this time the most ideal season for your favorite bulbs to be planted.
You'll need to expose the bulbs to the cold for as long as 12 to 14 weeks to make sure that it blooms well when it's time.
Don't plant the bulbs too early though!
If you do, they may start sprouting earlier than they should and won't last long enough to bloom during springtime.
With over 60,000 species of trees to choose from, it can be quite a challenge trying to figure out which of these to actually plant in your yard.
Not to mention, which ones will do well in your location.
Which is why we're here to help!
When choosing a tree, you have to take a number of factors into consideration.
These factors include your geographic location, and for the sake of this post, we're going to focus on the east coast.
There are quite a number of trees that can grow well in your yard, but let's just focus on five for now that we recommend to our customers most often.
