First United Methodist Church
A faithful Christian community of over 150 years, the people of Villa Rica FUMC have been pillars in this community, as well as the North Georgia United Methodist community. The VRFUMC existed in its previous location, 206 North Avenue, for over one hundred years. In 2006, VRFUMC and The North Georgia Conference Office of Church Development purchased The Garden Property.

Countless prayerful hours have been donated in dreaming and imagining a new facility that can host our growing Pre-school, Youth, Children and Mission projects. We have built a state of the art worship space that will allow us to more than triple our worship attendance. Our first community vegetable garden was planted at The Garden in 2011 and was a blessing to many in our community who otherwise would not have been able to eat fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Garden location gives us visibility as well as much more space for growth and continued ministry. No longer land locked, we will now be able to grow into our more than 18 acres.

We are so excited to lead worship at VRFUMC!
We both have a passion for serving God and good music, so this has been such a huge blessing to us.
We have been playing music together with various groups for almost 14 years, and we couldn't be happier to finally have a church to call our home.
Matt graduated from Point University in 2006 with a B. A. in Biblical Studies.

He has been teaching in Haralson County for almost 10 years.

We believe in the transformative power of service to God through the care of our community and beyond.
We believe in the transformative power of Christian education.
Through committing ourselves to learning and adhering to Scripture, we prepare ourselves to be people that are led by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the transformative power of the celebration of Almighty God-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Through worship we give thanks for all that God has done, is doing, and will do to His glory and to the betterment of the community around us.
Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God.
He is co-equal with the Father and Holy Spirit.
Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary by miraculous conception, lived a sinless human life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on the cross.
He physically rose from the dead after three days, demonstrating God's power over sin and death.
He ascended into heaven, where He rules as our Lord and mediates between God and people.
He will return again to earth in the future to establish God's perfect peace and justice for all time.
We are worshiping at 1789 Carrollton/Villa Rica Highway Villa Rica, Ga.
30180,.
We have a traditional service led by our choir at 9:00 am and a modern service at 11:00 on Sunday mornings.
In the Spring of 2011, we planted our first community vegetable garden on our new property as a way of providing fresh fruits and vegetables for people who might not otherwise be able to access them.
From that first garden, we have committed to not only its nurturing, but the nurturing of boys and girls, moms and dads in the surrounding area.
We are a growing Christian preschool program that offers classes for 18 months to 5 year olds.
Classes meet Monday-Friday from 8:30-12:30.
Our mission is to provide quality education in a nurturing, Christian environment so that our children will grow socially, intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
Our goal is to teach our students about the love of Jesus Christ through education, missions, and worship.
