Services
Pound Ridge, New York was originally home to the Siwanoy and Kitchawong Indians, who planted, fished, and kept game in enclosures called "pounds" on various ridges in the area.
Colonists settled it in the 1640s and a town was established in 1788.
The land on which the nursery now stands was once owned by Major Ebenezer Lockwood, the leader of the Pound Ridge Militia in the American Revolution who took part in a notorious raid by British Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton.
Although much of the town was destroyed, two of the original buildings from this time still stand as our store and a private home, both of which are now historic landmarks.
Pound Ridge Nursery & Garden Center offers landscaping services designed to bring to life the vision you have for the look and feel of your home, whether you're looking to design a landscape master plan, build a new patio, create a colorful perennial garden, or you just need some basic privacy screens installed.
Landscaping can do a variety of things for your property, from enhancing its value and curb appeal with carefully chosen shrubs and hedges, decreasing your energy consumption by up to 25 percent with thoughtfully placed trees, giving you a place for entertaining with a patio, deck, or terrace, and even providing a sanctuary for relaxation in a garden full of plants and flowers like roses and hydrangeas.
Here at Pound Ridge Nursery and Garden Center, our Landscape Design Team takes pride in providing our clients with top-quality service as they guide you through your landscape project.
Each designer is equipped with the knowledge to help you make the best decisions for your landscape layout, as well as the expert skills to bring your vision to life.
