Gary S. Odegard apprenticed with well- known Northwest landscape designer, R. David Adams in the early 1970's, working on projects featured in Architectural Digest and other notable publications.
Here he met his wife, interior designer, Shelley Odegard and together, they traveled throughout Europe studying landscape design, art and architecture with particular focus on French, English and Italian gardens.
Gary S. Odegard Landscape Design opened in 1976, after completing a large project for the Nordstrom stores.
